“No matter where you choose to worship all woman want to know the same thing . . . how do you get rid of cellulite”. New Haven, CT (PRWEB) January 29, 2011
Mubarakah Ibrahim is an American Muslim personal trainer who appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show in 2008. When on Oprah she said “No matter where you choose to worship all woman want to know the same thing . . . how do you get rid of cellulite”. With an international speaking engagement February 2-3rd in Jeddah Saudi Arabia, Ibrahim’s statement reigns true now more than ever.
Touted as “the job you’d never expect” by the queen of talk, the 34 year old business owner developed a series of health and fitness summits for women and after four years of hosting the Fitness Summits in the United States, that attracted women from all over the world, she will now take the event to the middle east.
The two day event is being held at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) February 2-3, 2011 and will consist of exercise classes and workshops on fitness education, nutrition and emotional wellness. The new multi-billion dollar university hosts a population consisting of 70 different nationalities and 60% of participates are expected to be non-Muslim women.
The BALANCE fitness Summit at KAUST will be “an amazing opportunity for me and my team to share practical advice on holistic health with the women at KAUST,” says the wife and mother of four. “Health is a universal concern for women throughout the world.”
Ibrahim explains. “KAUST has taken a proactive step in encouraging its population of women to be healthy and fit and that makes them a leading educational institution.”
The 2 day event will bring together female students and staff of the KAUST community in effort to encourage women to live a healthy lifestyle by staying physically fit and taking a proactive stance on their health. Ibrahim will travel to KAUST with a team of health professional from the U.S. to create a health and fitness education experience that includes communications and relationship coach Yasmin Ibrahim and the area’s first Zumba class.
“This event is first event of its kind in North America and possibly the entire world,” claims Ibrahim who first created it as a U.S. based event titled “The Fit Muslimah Summit” to encourage Muslim Women in particular to become physically fit and conscious about their health. “The Summit is designed to allow each participant to find their own path to wellness. We plan a variety of workshops and classes so no matter where women are in their fitness journey they can walk away with something that will inspire them and help them improve,” says Ibrahim the founder and creator of the program who tweaks it for her expanding audience.
“We hope to bring the event to several parts of the Muslim world including Egypt, United Arab Immigrates, Kuwait and Syria,” says the fitness trainer, who has gotten interest from Universities and companies in two of the four places she hope to visit with the event.
